Beaver Day - June 21st 2009  Full

This is a one day event which runs with the same theme as the Cub Weekend each year. Beavers and their leaders arrive at Lapwing at 10.00 and depart at 15.30.

Bringing with them a packed Lunch, the camp staff provide a fun packed day of games and challenges. This is an outside event so please dress appropriately and bring extra clothes and wet weather gear. All Beaver are presented with a Commemorative Event Badge.

Cub Weekend - March 27th to 29th 2009 (FULL) & October 2nd to 4th 2009 (FULL)

These are themed camps which change each year, the weekend is run by the Lapwing Lodge Camp Staff and is open to 6 cubs and one leader per pack.

If after the closing date space is available groups who have already booked will be offered a second 6 and leader space.

Indoor accommodation and all catering are included in the price. The Weekend starts around 19.30 on the Friday through to 15.00 on the Sunday. Leaders accompany their cubs around the bases and assist at meal times with the cleaning up.

The weekend is a very busy one full of fun and games, every cub leaves with a certificate of the weekend and a badge specially designed for the camp theme.

These weekends are very popular, we have several packs who come each year so early booking is advised.

Highland Games - May 1st to 3rd 2009 (FULL)

The Highland Games has been an annual event at Lapwing since 1976. This event is for Scout Patrols of 6 aged between 10 and 14.5 maximum at the time of the event the total combined age of the 6 must not exceed 72 years. It is competition based event where each patrol competes against each other by participating in various bases / time trials and challenges through out the campsite with an aim to winning one of the many trophies available at this popular event. Groups can enter as many patrols as they wish. Scouts are presented with trophies and a Commemorative Event Badge.

25th Highland Games 2010 30th April - 2nd of May

Young Leader Training - February 13th to 15th 2009

Lapwing Lodge has for several years now run an Explorer Scout Event based on the National Young Leader Training. Through out the course of the weekend it covers multiply modules towards the Scouts gaining their Young Leaders badge.
